2012 NFL Off Season Schedule
The NFL season will be over next Sunday, but we all know that’s not really true. That’s when the fun really begins, at least for every team not in the Super Bowl. Between free agency, the draft, and a host of other activities, the NFL does a good job of stringing us along until we can relapse back into the whole thing at the end of July. With all this fun, it can be hard to keep track of when everything happens, especially considering last years’ bizzaro off season/training camp blitz.
Anyway, we thought it’d be useful to have a schedule to keep you oriented til preseason games start again. So, without further ado:
Jan. 29 – 2012 NFL Pro Bowl (7 p.m., NBC)
Feb. 5 – Super Bowl XLVI (6:25 p.m., NBC)
Feb. 20 – Teams can begin applying franchise and transition tags to players
Feb. 22-28 – NFL Combine (live coverage on NFL Network and NFL.com)
March 5 – Deadline for teams to apply franchise and transition tags
March 13 – Free agency begins at 4 p.m.
March 25-28 – NFL owners meetings (in Palm Beach, FL)
March 30-31 – Super Regional Combine (in Detroit, MI)
Mid-April – Bills’ offseason program begins (maximum of 10 OTAs during the offseason)
Late April – 2012 NFL schedule is announced
April 26-28 – 2012 NFL Draft
Late July – Players begin reporting to camp @ St. John Fisher
Keep this bookmarked for reference and just remember what they tell you in AA: One day at a time…
