One of the Reasons Buffalo Chose EJ Manuel Over Geno Smith
Maybe Nolan Norwacki was on to something. According to one league executive...
Just a quick update of this weeks contest from an ATS perspective.
I came out of last week expecting to have to pick against the Bills after Vegas and everyone else adjusted their expectations to a post ‘Buffalo playing for Andrew Luck’ world. That happened to a degree with as the Bills are giving 4 points at home this week to the also better than expected Oakland Raiders. Given the optimism surrounding Oakland after their Week 1 victory of the Raiders, it would seem that this would be a good game to pick against the Bills without having to think they will lose.
However, when you look at the match ups, Oakland looks very similar to the Chiefs as a team that found success running the ball in 2010 despite less than elite QB play. The Raiders were number 2 in rushing last year, but have Jason Campbell as their QB. Buffalo needs to simply stack the box, handle the run, and the 4 points should be an easy cover.
